The Flying Aviators Track Club recently finished their season with a Track Meet at Len Dawson Field! 🏃♀️ The ladies were able to choose their events in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and Long Jump. The athletes were awarded ribbons for placing in their events and enjoyed pizza and popsicles afterwards.

Chelsea Young's 3rd grade class took over the classroom! Each student had the opportunity to teach a mini lesson on a topic of their choice. Students demonstrated their expertise, shared interests and taught their peers things such as how to tie your shoes, how to throw a football and how to groom a horse! The Alliance Middle School Builders Club donated a “Buddy Bench” to Alliance Elementary School in honor of Michelle Balderson’s retirement!
Mrs. Balderson served for many years as the principal of AES before becoming the district’s Director of Elementary Education. Now, her legacy of kindness and connection will live on through “Balderson’s Buddy Bench.”
A Buddy Bench is a special space where students can sit when they’re feeling lonely or looking for a friend. It’s a quiet signal to peers and staff that they’re hoping for someone to talk to. It's a meaningful reminder that no one is ever truly alone.
AES has had Buddy Benches on its playground for years, and this new addition will bring that same spirit of compassion inside the building.

The Free Summer Meals Program 🍔 will run June 3 - July 31! It's available to any child from age 1-18. Menus can be found on the building websites or on the ACS app starting next week.

Jenna will be attending Washington University in St. Louis to study political science!
During her time at AHS, she was involved in soccer, drumline, Jetsetters, Aviatrix, Choralaires, speech & debate, academic challenge, National Honor Society, FCA, #LikeAGirl, served as class president and she worked with Carnation City Players and Mount Union's Shakespeare at the Castle.
What she'll remember most:
"One thing I will remember about my time here at AHS is the relationships I have created with people I otherwise may have never met. Getting involved in various activities, especially the music department, has brought me some of my best friends and people I know who will stand by my side and be there to support me no matter what. These friendships have brought me so many memories I will never forget."

🎓 Jacob Spurlock 🎓
Jacob is employed full time as a welder/fabricator at MAC Trailer following graduation!
During his time at AHS, he was involved in football, track, worked part-time at Dairy Queen and Ohio Gratings and took part in the welding career tech program.
A teacher who made a positive impact:
"Staff members that had a huge role in my development from a teenager into adulthood and into the workforce would be the welding instructors Mr. Peters and Mr. Fuson. They have had a major impact in my life in every possible positive way, from helping me get a car to get to and from work to working hard to get me into the program. But mainly working hard trying to land me my first welding job while in school. They have been such a major role in my life and hopefully one day I can be half the man they are."
