Business Advisory Committee meetings
The Alliance City School District is a member of The Stark County Educational Service Center Business Advisory Councils. Co-chaired by the Chambers of Commerce of Canton and Western Stark County, members of these committees meet monthly on the 4th Tuesday of each month, to provide a more seamless connection between business and education.
Membership on the committees consists of local business leaders, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions in higher ed and K-12 schools. The goal of the committees is to provide mutual feedback. Schools are able to steer curriculum and courses of study to better match industry needs and address shortcomings. Businesses are also able to communicate to the schools where they envision future openings and what is on the horizon in terms of booming career fields.
We invite you to visit the agendas and minutes from our meetings to see the multitude of topics discussed and addressed.
To all our partners, we sincerely appreciate all you are doing to help bridge the gap between business and education! You are helping to mold our curriculum to make our students more successful and build a better Stark County.
