The Superintendent’s Student Leadership Group met last week! Students spent time talking about future careers and participated in a few activities focused on career exploration and leadership.
The group meets several times throughout the year and includes students from 4th–12th grade. During these meetings, students discuss what it means to be a positive leader among their peers while building skills that will support them throughout their education and into adulthood. #RepthatA

The Alliance High School band performed at a band workshop at Cleveland State recently! The students had the opportunity to perform for other top-performing bands, band directors, and the director of bands at Cleveland State. They received feedback on their playing and worked together to prepare for OMEA Large Group Competition. Way to go, AHS Band! 🥁🎷 #RepthatA
Our Kindergarten friends have been learning about different careers! As part of a Fun Friday activity, they transformed into firefighters and battled flames on the playground. Armed with makeshift firehoses and official hats, the students worked quickly to extinguish all the flames! 🔥🚒 #RepthatA

For the 102nd day of school, our kindergartners had an extra special visitor! Mary Haynes is the 102-year-old grandmother of Kelli Berry. She stopped by to talk to the students about her life and how her childhood was very different than theirs!
The students were surprised to hear she didn't have a phone or TV growing up. 📞📺 They also learned about record players and what cars looked like when she was growing up. 🚗🎶
