Parkway had a blast during their Field Day on Tuesday! They enjoyed tug-a-war, soccer, baseball and more! What a fun day it was! #RepthatA





Rockhill and Parkway combined their efforts for the first time for the third grade community project. Rockhill students created the pamphlets and the models were built by the Parkway students! What a great collaboration project for the elementary schools! #RepthatA





Parkway 3rd graders in Chelsea Minnich's class have been taking over to teach their fellow students a lesson! Some of the lessons have included learning to making banana bread, slime and how to count to ten in French! There are some future teachers at Parkway! #RepthatA





More than 30 second graders at Parkway participated in the Spelling Bee. The Bee lasted five rounds and the final two students went head-to-head in several perfect rounds. In the end, Addie Yost was runner up and Isaiah Richards was named the champion! Congratulations! #RepthatA




Parents: The Free Summer Meals Program will once again be taking place starting June 3! This program is available to all kids 18 years old and younger! #RepthatA

Second graders from Parkway had a great field trip yesterday when they visited Mount Union. Students walked from Parkway to campus, toured many buildings and sites and spent a day as a Purple Raider! They also enjoyed the cafeteria, complete with ice cream and slushies! #RepthatA





Second graders at Parkway are taking part in a water safety program at the YMCA. This program is under the direction of the pool director and certified aquatic staff, swim instructors and volunteers. The children are having fun and learning a lot of swim safety skills. #RepthatA

Second graders at Parkway had an Easter celebration last week at school with an Easter Egg Hunt. Fun was had by all! Candy, money, erasers and free homework passes were among the items in the eggs! #RepthatA




Parkway Elementary wore PJs last Friday to support DJ, a Louisville student diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma! At ACS we value caring citizenship and one way we do that is by showing our support and helping however we can! DJ has our full Aviator Support! #RepthatA


Casey Cross' class at Parkway spent a week learning about "What makes different parts of the world different?" Their final project was to work in pairs to reread and research a habitat they studied, write four facts and make a poster including that information. #RepthatA

Parkway students and families participated in the Hot Pots pottery Easter craft on Tuesday after school. There were good tunes, good times and even an appearance from the Easter Bunny! Thanks to Hot Pots and to all that participated in this fun event! #RepthatA





Parkway students in Mr. Dotson's, Miss Burtt's and Miss Sloane's class put their fraction and measurement skills to the test when they made their very own personal pizza. They were given the opportunity to pick their own toppings, too! What a fun way to learn! #RepthatA

Parkway had their third grade Poetry Cafe on Friday! The students took turn reading the poems they have been working on to their families and friends! We have some future poets at Parkway! #RepthatA





Parkway students in Miss Sloane's and Mr. Dotson's class have been working on fractions. They have used Oranges and M&M's to explore the concept of fractions. The kids will end the unit with fraction pizza. Needless to say this has been a "filling" unit. #RepthatA
