7th graders had the opportunity to visit the AHS Cosmetology class for hair cuts! #RepthatA

Students from the foundational art classes and art club at Alliance High School took part in the Ohio Department of Transportations Paint-A-Plow program. Multiple design ideas were submitted and students voted for the one they liked best. Chelsey Rickman's design was selected. The students spent a couple weeks painting the plow, which will soon be making its way through Stark county when the winter weather hits. #RepthatA

Six AHS band students recently traveled to Malone University where they took part in the Honor's Band. The students spent one day rehearsing with guest directors and members of 25 other bands. The day ended with a combined concert with the Malone University Symphonic Winds and the Brass Band of the Western Reserve. What a great opportunity for the students who were able to attend! #RepthatA

Did you know you can recycle old Christmas lights? Alliance City Schools has partnered with Keep Alliance Beautiful to collect old Christmas lights to recycle. They can be dropped off in the boxes outside of each building starting tomorrow through Dec. 16. #RepthatA

For a class project, senior Gracie Weaver wrote a song based on her reading of "Apostrophe To Sarah Pierrepont" by Jonathan Edwards, a selection in the Norton Anthology of American Literature. This project was done for her dual-credit American Literature class, which is offered through Stark State here at AHS. While the song is "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane, she wrote the lyrics herself!
