Students in Casey Cross and Kim Cody's classes joined together for a hands-on day of learning to celebrate a week back and to look forward to "S'more learning and fun to come in 2025!" 🍫
Students read a text about the history of s'mores, learned how marshmallows are made, then worked in groups to answer questions, build a s'more craft, and enjoy a s'more. Students also picked one staff member to share a s'more on the go with! What a yummy activity! 😋 #RepthatA

Special guests Isabella Hall and Lilyan Ronske from the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival Queen's Court participated in the discussion and helped with the activities. 50 girls and 16 mentors made and gave away their very own friendship bracelets! #RepthatA

💚 SLIME TIME 💚
Over 700 raffle tickets were sold to students at Alliance Intermediate School for the chance to slime a staff member of their choice! This year, six students were selected and had a blast covering their teachers in the green slime!
What a fun event for the students and a messy one for the staff lucky enough to be slimed! #RepthatA
The young Aviators at Alliance Elementary School and Alliance Intermediate School were visited by basketball coach, Dani Gallina, and some of the high school basketball team last week. Coach Dani explained why learning fundamentals at a young age is so important for athletic success at the high school level. Every girl got to shoot a basketball and had a chance to answer questions about the sport. The winners of each group got a Lady Aviators basketball or t-shirt and a little bit of basketball knowledge! 🏀
Our young Aviators can still sign up for the YMCA girls youth basketball league by emailing Coach Dani at gallinada@alliancecityschools.org with the player's name and grade. ✈ #RepthatA

The Student Leadership Group met yesterday for their monthly meeting! This group, consisting of students in 4th to 12th grade, meets regularly to learn about leadership, collaboration and caring citizenship. The students took part in a couple fun activities geared towards building leadership skills and started brainstorming ideas of how they can better their schools, neighborhoods and the city.
