Alliance Middle School (AMS) is set to present “Annie Jr.” November 18-20. The cast consists of approximately 35 students, including two actresses to play Annie.

\r\n

Kara Eversdyke, 7th grade, and Stella Jackson, 7th grade, will each take on the lead role of Annie in two performances.

\r\n

There will be four showings of the production in total. Performances will take place Friday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, Nov. 19 at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm and Sunday, Nov. 20 at 3:30 pm. All performances will take place in the auditorium at Alliance High School.

\r\n

Tickets for the show are $10 for adults, $5 for students. If a young child will be attending and an adult plans to hold them for the duration of the show, a ticket does not have to be purchased for them. Tickets are general admission only and are available online at https://anniejr.ludus.com/index.php?step=seats. There will also be tickets available at the door.

The students have been working hard for weeks preparing for the musical. For some, this will be their first time performing in a musical. Others may have been part of past productions, like the Alliance High School spring musical, but didn’t have the chance to be in a leading role. With only middle schoolers as part of the cast, this is their chance to shine.

\r\n

“This has been such a positive experience for students,” said Shawna Taylor, the AMS choir teacher. “Theater has helped many students build friendships and share their love for music. It has been an outlet for them to express their creativity and be involved in something that has allowed them to grow in their skills.”
