JOG Group Picture

On March 20, 13 students from the Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG) program at Alliance High School participated in the JOG Regional Career Development Conference. The competition was held at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio. Students competed in several different competitions ranging from a financial literacy test to a four-person work related team challenge.

The Alliance JOG program brought home the most awards at the competition! 

  • Kjerstin McCullough - 1st place, Cover Design

  • Kiara Bryant - 2nd place, Cover Design

  • Serenity Hawkins - 2nd place, Career Preparation Presentation

  • Team: Josie Root, Emily Jones, Paige Bryant and Destiny Weisenburger - 2nd place, Business Proposal

  • Team: Lyrical Andrews, Zoe McKenney, Lanaya Richer and Jasmine Stephen - 3rd place Knowledge Bowl

The individuals who placed first and second in their events have qualified for the state competition in April. They will take on schools from Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dayton and more.
