The STNA program educates students with the knowledge necessary to sit for their State Tested Nurse Aide test, enabling them for an entry level career in patient care. Students who complete this program often work in skilled nursing facilities or in home health care settings. Students who complete the program will receive a certificate of completion from ACC.

Provide evidence of the ability to succeed in the classroom by providing one of the following:
Dated within the last five years from class start date, one of the following:
-High school transcript with a 2.5 GPA or higher
-ACT Minimum Scores of a Composite: 14, Reading: 14, and Math: 14.
-SAT Minimum Scores of Reading: 260, Writing: 260 and Math 306
-GED earned and scores of 155 or higher in each Language Arts and Math
-High School Equivalency Diploma earned and scores of Reading: 13 and Math: 13
-Workkeys test results showing scores of Workplace Document: 5, Graphic Literacy: 4
and Math: 4
-Take The Adult Basic Education (TABE) Admissions Test and earn a minimum score of
528 on Reading and 506 on Combined Math. Call the ACC office to schedule an appointment.
Ohio BCI Background Check. This is completed at the time of paying the application fee. If a student does not begin the program, they will be charged $32.00 for the completed BCI. If needed for Clinicals
2-Step TB (Mantoux) - Check with your family physician or the Alliance Health Department. It requires 2 shots/2 visits. If needed for Clinicals.
Scrubs for Clinicals (Instructor will address this the first day of class)
2-Step TB (Mantoux) and any other requirements of the clinical site location, especially those related to Covid-19 protocols
